Invitation to 2024 AGM

As a current member of LRNSC, you are invited to the Club's Annual General Meeting on Sunday 15 September.

The AGM will take place in person from 14:00-16:00 in the club house at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit, 11-12 Springfield Road, Hayes UB4 0LP,  and online via Zoom.  The event will be preceded by roller skiing from 10:00, and refreshments will be available prior to the AGM.

Please note that any LRNSC member may submit a motion for the AGM by emailing the Chair  and/or the Vice Chair no later than 19:00 on Saturday 17 August.  Such a motion must be seconded, either in writing by email to the Chair and/or Vice Chair, or from the floor of the meeting.

Proposals for the selection of the Club Chair

Adam Pinney's term as Chair ends this year, and the Club Constitution prevents him from standing again.  Currently no other candidate for Chair has come forward.
Adam is willing to continue for one more term and has been encouraged to do so by several Club members.  This document explains the Committee's proposals to resolve this situation and encourages you to put your name forward if you wish to do so. NB: You do not need to be seconded to put your name forward.

Proposals for the selection of Club Committee members

The Club Constitution requires that all Committee members, including the Chair, submit themselves for re-election at this AGM.  You are therefore invited to put your name forward for one or more of the Committee positions. This document outlines the process.  NB: You do not need to be seconded to put your name forward.

You can see an outline of the roles here and if you'd like to have a chat about any of these, please contact Adam our Chair.

How to participate in the AGM

To participate either in person or online, please click to register by 19:00 on Tuesday 10 September.
NB  Anyone may attend but only current Club members are eligible to vote at the AGM.

What happens after you register

  • Everyone who registers will be sent an email confirming their registration.
  • The agenda will be emailed to all members by 1 September.
  • By 12 September everyone who has registered will be emailed the meeting documents [agenda, accounts, committee members' reports and 2023 minutes] together with the meeting procedures and, for online participants, instructions on how to join the meeting.
  • In parallel, the meeting documents will also be available on the Club website.

Pre AGM roller skiing

This will take place in the morning from 10:00 - 12:00 when there'll be a choice of coaching, or the opportunity to practice or train as you wish, and a 2 lap classic team race.  Booking will open during August for this roller ski session.

Afterwards there'll be time for people to grab a coffee or tea, and eat lunch [you'll need to bring your own] before the AGM.

Please support your Club

The AGM is your opportunity to find out what's happening with the Club and give your views - we need to hear from our newer active members as well as our long-standing loyal supporters.

If you enjoy the Club's activities, do please consider if you can give a little of your valuable time in return to help to run it and ensure the Club's future.

Please remember that you need to register by 19:00 on Tuesday 10 September.
